The Event Collection team was tasked to event manage ‘Welcome Fest!’ in collaboration with Edinburgh Napier University. This was a huge event consisting of different areas of activities, catering, and performances. The vibe of the event they were going for was festival-themed, so we worked with their amazing event team to bring to life ‘Welcome Fest’! This was the first event of its kind for the university, and it is fair to say it was a huge success.
Our team had an amazing day delivering all of the different inflatables, carnival games, music, and entertainment. All of the Edinburgh Napier students from all campuses could come along and have a go on different games, keep hydrated and fuelled with the excellent catering options and enjoy live music! On the main stage in the Live Lawn, student bands performed some great tunes and the crowd loved this, as well as the fact that the University’s radio station, ENRG did a grand job at MCing the stage and keeping the vibe lively. It is really lovely to see the students getting involved and giving the event such a personal feel, great effort Everybody!
The atmosphere was buzzing, and it was fantastic to see all of the students having a fantastic time and getting to know each other before freshers. Some of the student faves of the day were definitely our Candyfloss and Popcorn stall, our Laser Quest our Inflatable Basketball – these went down a treat and kept everyone entertained for hours! However, all of our equipment from Darts and Coconut Shy to the Assault Course and the Unclimbable Ladder were perfect at adding a bit of an adrenaline rush to the day.
We loved delivering and event managing ‘Welcome Fest’ and had a ball making this day as festival-themed, fun, and engaging as possible. It is fantastic that Edinburgh Napier was able to provide the students with such an interactive and student-focussed fun day and we loved supporting them on this event.
